Humberto Molina Senior Editor and Colorist

Humberto is a specialist in the areas of editing and color corrections. He is certified by the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba, and certified by the Australian company Black Magic in the Davinci Resolve application. He is a graduate of Avid at the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television in the field of Editing, and also a colorist and operator of Assimilate Schatch.
With 10 years of experience, Humberto Molina has been a leader in developing audiovisuals for Cubaness and Tropix. He plans the editorial calendar and supervises the full team of editors and is responsible for all final products published on the video platforms. As a colorist, he works in tandem with the Art Director, meeting all the branding needs for Tropix.
Humberto began working as an editor for Cuban Television. Eventually, he became the editor of television shows and musicals such as Fuera de Rosca, En concierto, and Llegó La Musica Cubana. He also edited for sports and film programs such as Somos multitud, among others. He has worked with record labels, independent producers, and concert clients creating music videos for notable Cuban musicians such as Aldo López-Gavilán, Harold López-Nussa, Carlos Miyares, El Niño, La Orquesta Aragón and David Blanco.
Documentary work is part of Humberto’s reel including one project about the town of Manzanillo, Granma, and the other being a homage to Pope Francis’ visit to Cuba (produced by ABDALA). Cuban Television Station RTV also hired Humberto to edit their famous childrens show, La Colmena TV.
He has worked for renowned directors such as Marcos Castillo, Ángel Alderete, Danilo Sirio, Orlando Cruzata and Karel Renzoly, as well as spots for ADIDAS, and Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets. Sony called upon him to edit the concert event of rock band The Dead Daisies, as well as their general visit to Cuba with daily diaries.
Humberto is a young hard working asset to Tropix, always looking to improve his craft. He is collaborative, and a pleasure to work with.
