Layla Veláz is the primary assistant to the Chief Technology Officer. Her responsibility includes maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems and networks within Tropix and the CEO’s offices.

She worked in several companies belonging to the Ministry of Telecommunications in relation to software development and computer security. Her work life turned around when she joined ICAIC (Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry) where she led film programming for children and adults. She is also experienced in customer service and sales, which she attained at the Casa Sacerdotal San Juan Maria Vianney.

Layla is very observant, friendly, and loyal. She appreciates collaborating with group initiatives. She is a lover of nature, the beach, dancing, and good deeds. She educates her child on values in order to always strive to be a good human being.
